1 cup cranberries

1 seedless orange, peeled, cut in half

4 oz. sugar

1/2 cup simple syrup

1/2 cup champagne

Place cranberries, orange, sugar and simple syrup in saucepan; heat to boiling. Remove from heat; place in blender or food processor. Process until smooth; let cool. Strain.
