Squares
4 slightly beaten eggs
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) margarine, at room temperature
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 cups flour
2 cups chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (10 1/2 ounce) bag miniature marshmallows

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Combine eggs, sugar, margarine, cocoa, flour, nuts and vanilla extract. Put batter into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan and bake until done, about 40 minutes. (The squares come out flat.) Remove from oven and immediately empty package of marshmallows on top, spreading evenly.

Icing
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 (16 ounce) box sifted confectioners' sugar

Heat cocoa, butter and evaporated milk until melted. Add confectioners' sugar. Pour over marshmallows while icing is still warm. Refrigerate until icing hardens.

Cut into squares. Put on serving plate or in muffin-cup liners to serve. Eat with fingers. Freezes well.

Yields 42 squares.
