Pineapple Upside Down Cake1 cup brown sugar Spread brown sugar in the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with pineapple juice. Arrange pineapple rings over the sugar mixture. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, if desired. Put a maraschino cherry in the center of each pineapple ring. Prepare the cake mix and pour into the pan carefully.
