English Muffin Loaf

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon honey
2 1/2 cups bread flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
3 tablespoons powdered milk
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 package active dry yeast or
    1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

Place all in the bread pan in the order recommended by your machine's manufacturer. Process on the Basic Wheat cycle, Light crust setting.

This recipe yields a 1 1/2 pound loaf.
