Down-East Style Sauce

1 gallon vinegar

3/4 cup salt

2 tablespoon cayenne pepper

3 tablespoon red pepper flakes

1 cup brown sugar

Combine all ingredients. Allow to stand for four hours. Serve as table sauce.
