Compote of Woodland Fruit

1 cup water

3 oz. sugar

juice and zest of

1 orange and

1 lemon

1 (4-in.) cinnamon stick

1 clove

5 coriander seeds

6 blackberries

6 strawberries

6 raspberries

6 black currants

6 red currants

Place water, sugar, juices, zest and spices in saucepan. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer for 15 minutes to infuse flavors. Strain. Place fruits in bowl; pour hot syrup over. Let cool. Strain syrup into saucepan. Reduce by half; pour back over fruits.
