Chipotle Barbecue Sauce - 1Anonymous Tue May 23 19:38:03 2006 1 tablespoon olive oil 1/2 cup onion -- chopped 2 tablespoon garlic -- minced 1 cup ketchup 1/4 cup malt vinegar 1/4 cup golden brown sugar 1/4 cup coffee -- strong brewed 3 tablespoon beer -- stout (like Guinness 2 tablespoon molasses -- unsulphured (light) 2 tablespoon tomato paste 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1-1/4 teaspoons canned chipotle chilies -- minced 1/4 teaspoon black pepper -- freshly ground Heat oil in heavy large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and saut� until tender, about 5 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally, about 25 minutes. Season with salt.
