Baking Soda Dumplings

4 oz. flour, sifted

1/4 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 egg

1-1/2 oz. milk

White veal stock, boiling, as needed

Sift together dry ingredients. Combine egg and milk. Beat egg-milk mixture into dry ingredients to form dough. Drop dough by spoonfuls into boiling stock. Cover; cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
